Submission information
We invite submissions for both oral presentations and poster presentations that highlight innovative research, methodologies, applications, and case studies in the following areas (but not limited to):
- Remote sensing techniques and technologies
- AI techniques for Earth observation, remote sensing and environmental monitoring
- Machine learning algorithms and methods applied to earth observation data
- Machine vision and/or image processing in an environmental context
- Data science, AI and machine learning approaches for:
- Environmental monitoring and assessment
- Climate change analysis and prediction
- Land use and land cover classification
- Natural resource management
- Disaster management and response
- Urban planning and development
- Biodiversity conservation
- Agriculture and food security
- Industrial/commercial applications and real world case studies
- Social and ethical issues
Reviews will be single-blind. All submissions should include author names and their affiliations
The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.


Submission Guidelines
- Submit a single file PDF: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/MLEO2026
- Abstracts should be no more than 500 words in length.
- Abstract may include one image or table if appropriate
- Clearly state the objectives, methods, and findings of the research, including clearly the type of machine learning approach used if applicable.
- You will have the opportunity to specify whether the submission is for an oral presentation or a poster presentation, or can be considered for either format.
- Oral presentations are expected to be 10 minutes duration with time for questions.
- Posters should fit on a standard A1 portrait poster board and will be displayed during breaks and in a designated poster session.
- At least one author will need to register for the conference and attend the event to present the work.
- Abstract submission will be open from 15th January 2026
- Abstract submission closes on 31st March 2026
- Notification of acceptance will be sent by 1st May 2026.
There will be no conference proceedings but abstracts will be shared with attendees via the conference webpage. Posters and video recordings will be shared via the wesbite and/or through our YouTube channel. Please let us know if you would like to opt out.
